Red Feather Figure 8

This route has been a part of our Gravel Graceland Experience. At 46 miles and just under 5,000 feet of climbing, it’s not just any old 46 mile route. There is a bathroom at the start location which is super nice, but otherwise there aren’t any facilities until you hit the town of Red Feather. We like to stop for a cream soda there :)

The route overall is climbing heavy towards the beginning with the most of the elevation loss coming in the form of a very long descent with wicked views down County Rd 82E. This route would also be super rad in reverse.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 46 miles

  • Paved: 5%

  • Climbing: 4800 feet

Notes: Some of the roads get quite washed out after winter. There is a lot of RV/trailer camping in this area in summer, so be mindful of when you are riding. Sunday afternoons can be busy when people are leaving campsites.

Refills: Red Feather Lakes store.

Tires: The WTB Resolute will get you through some of the sketchier sections.
