Wellington-Douglas Reservoir-Poudre Trail

This route is pretty accessible year-around and dries out quickly. Enjoy a big loop out east by Cobb Lake before going under the I-25 bike tunnel into Wellington. Ride along the “shorelines” of Douglas Reservoir before scooting over into Laporte to take the Poudre Trail back to the finish.

This route is a part of the 2024 FoCo Fondo Training Series (January On-Your-Own Longer Option).

The Stats:

  • Distance: 46.5 miles

  • Paved: 30%

  • Climbing: 1900 feet

Notes: There are a few bits of more “single track” on this route. Also, the Poudre Trail is full of excellent single track bits to add some flair to your ride.

Refills: Me Oh My Pie (Laporte).

Tires: The WTB Vulpine 36 for speed or Vulpine 40 for pleasure.
