Park Creek Reservoir

Park Creek Rez is such a rad road. Head north through Waverly before turning west in Buckeye. You’ll ride past Park Creek Reservoir before ending up possibly on the moon. The landscape is pretty amazing. Sometimes in there are antelope and other times there are cows grazing on the road. You can either turn around when you hit 287, or take 287 (huge shoulder) to Owl Canyon before heading back into town- it’s your ride!

The Stats:

  • Distance: 50 miles

  • Paved: 50%

  • Climbing: 2000 feet

Notes: If you don’t want to ride on 287 to Owl Canyon, it’s also a great out-and-back.

Refills: The Forks in Livermore.

Tires: Something like a WTB Vulpine in a 36 would be super fun. The gravel is benign and fast rolling.
