Classic Buckeye, Park Creek, Livermore

56 miles and 2100 feet of elevation. Lots of cut-off options on this route. The full route includes Park Creek Rez and comes back via Owl Canyon. If you aren’t comfy on the brief blip on 287, just flip it when you get to the highway from Park Creek Reservoir.

This route is also a part of the FoCo Fondo Training Series.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 56 miles

  • Paved: 50%

  • Climbing: 2100 feet

Notes: If you don’t want to ride 287, you could go back on Park Creek Reservoir.

Refills: The Forks in Livermore only (on 287).

Tires: Something like a WTB Vulpine in a 36 would be super fun. A lot of the gravel is fast rolling and is best paired with a fast gravel tire that can get you through the technical and loose sections.
